What You Need to Know About Chronic Savers
There’s a growing trend of chronic savers. These people aren’t necessarily poor but have enough yet are afraid to spend money because they think they don’t have enough.
It’s fine if you’re frugal about spending too much on too many luxuries but these chronic savers are known to not spend money on even the basics.
By basics, we’re talking about the utility bills, medical bills and sometimes even food where they will buy inexpensive food which isn’t exactly nutritious.
While most of us don’t have such a problem, there are others who struggle with this. So, in their best interests in making a change for the better, here are a few things to consider if you wish to do so.:
In some situations, chronic savers either suffer from underlying negative thoughts which have them believe that they don’t deserve these expensive things or worse still, they don’t have enough money even if they have enough and more.
Sometimes these feelings of insecurity stem from difficult situations in the past which they bring with them into the present even if their circumstances have changed drastically.
As mentioned earlier, some of them tend to complain when asked to buy expensive food or even argue over a few hundred dollars in a real estate deal that is actually a good one. There’s a big difference between being frugal and cheap.
It’s something to think about.
While it’s understandable that those who have taken a pay cut might be worried about spending, there are others who are far ahead of their peers when it comes to being fiscally sound but still don’t want to spend on any luxuries at all.
The only solution when it comes to helping these people is to get them acquainted to spending on themselves again (and even luxuries, if you will) which they can steadily increase over the months.
But without a doubt, professional help is required…
